Brief Answer:
Betablocker&diuretic to be added...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

Asomex is the trade name for the generic Amlodipine.

Amvasc 2.5 is the trade name for the same drug, Amlodipine of the dose 2.5 mg.

With regards to heart palpitations, they are often associated with Amlodipine use. If I was your caring doctor would advise to start a beta-blocker (e.g. atenolol) together with diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide) to control hypertension and palpitations.

However, first, I want to be sure to decide the right dose after evaluation by ECG, cardiac echo and holter monitoring.

You can discuss with your doctor about my suggestions.

Hope it was of help!
