What Causes Increased Crying And Lack Of Appetite In Infant?

Question: Hello,
I have twins (girls) and they are just going to be 9 months old. We regularly feed them with three times solid food (ragi beaten in grinder, rice beaten in grinder, cerelac and sometimes nestum). They are not on mothers milk since the begining.
One of them responds very well to food and is never a problem to feed her, the other one is a bit fussy and recently she has almost stopped eating solid food and this is our concern.
Her activity levels are normal and she takes lactogen well but does not like eating solids. We tried giving in different methods and sometimes wait for her to feel really hungry but even then she refuses to eat solid food and only responds to drinking milk (lactogen) when she is really hungry.
Until last week we somehow managed to feed her three full meals but now it has become an impossible task to give her even one meal. Not sure what is wrong with her.
She has not developed any teeth yet but salivates a lot, we initially thought it could be becasue she is getting her teeth but we are not seeing any such signs of teething yet.

Is there some medicine we can give to increase her hunger? any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
try apetite stimulant.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
It is quite normal for the children to behave like that at some particular periods.
Whether it may be begining of some illness or recent travel or change of his routine , new place etc .
Not all the child but few may fussy and does not take food easily.
You can do 2 things as follows-
1- reduce lactogen or milk so that there will be room for food.
2- give cypon drops before food as a apetizer (dose depends on her weight) after consulting with your doctor.
Excessive salivation may be normal or due to some ulcer in mouth it may need detailed examination by treating doctor.
Hope I helped you.
