Question: How can your cholesterol and sugar increase when you decrease your body fat to the normal range, lost 10+ pounds, increased HDL cholesterol to desirable range, eating healthy diet, not eating red meals, eating lots of good heart healthy veggies and fruits, no eat desserts, using no sugar almond milk 30 calories, lost 8 inches off my waist, hips, thighs and bust, do not eat sugary snacks and only minimal in foods? They did say that my cholesterol to HDL ratio was desirable

Thank you for your encouraging words and opinion. I appreciate your review and comments. Are there any other foods or supplements I can eat to decrease cholesterol/glucose. I ate the cucumbers, radishes, cholerra, sea kelp,msn for inflammation the nurse recommended plus the power 310Nutrition shakes two times a day which are sugar, preservative free using stevia plus healthy lunch, dinner and healthy snacks. I am hypothyroid and on high dose Motrin since having 5 foot surgeries.e,

Healthy feeding habit is all that we need. There are just no reasons getting bothered about supplements. You eat a lot of fruits, vegetables and should have all the necessary vitamins and minerals require. Like in the name supplement, they are actually meant for those who are deficient. Unfortunately, persons tend to think this makes a difference in their lives and go on the without any medical recommendation. The added advantage to this is almost inexistent in persons with a healthy diet.

In your case, I will recommend that you take no extra supplements. Continue just like you have been doing and all would be fine.. Remember that what matters most is the sustainability of the lifestyle modifications over time and not the rapid unrealistic changes that occur at some points.

Thank you for your kind words and advice. I appreciate your expertise and suggestions. It helped clear up my questions. In the East the doctors here really get on your case even if your cholesterol goes up a point or you gain a 1-2 pounds even though your varies day to day depending on how much fluid you retain even though you see morbidly obese people gorging out on bad foods and you eat all the good stuff and nothing is said!!! I am very conscientious about my health so was concerned and you helped relieve my fears with HDL to cholesterol ratio. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Have a great afternoon.
