What Causes Hot And Cold Flashes, Neck Stiffness, Chest Pain And Breast Lump?
Question: I've been experiencing extreme fatigue for over year, flushing, feeling of being hot and cold at the same time, daily headaches, neck and upper back pain and stiffness, numbness and tingling in the left arm down to the fingers, swollen lymph node in left arm in the elbow crease, left arm looks bigger than right arm, chest pain (dull ache) when I bend over to pick something up, lump under left breast on the upper ribcage that my doctor told me was most likely a lipoma, but now the whole area is sticking out compared to the right side and very noticeable, swollen occipital lymph node that is very hard, swollen iguinal lymph node on right side, feeling of being in a daydream like state a lot, extreme irritability, inability to feel rested even after sleeping long hours, difficulty falling asleep at night even though extremely fatigued, feelings of numbness in left foot at times, and I occasionally get this weird, unexplained itching sensation that is horrible at night and the only thing that helps is the prednisone prescribed by a doctor. The itching presents without a rash or hives and I am not allergic to anything. I have been a smoker for about 4 years, and maybe smoke about 7-8 cigarettes a day. I drink maybe once every 6 months, and never consume a large amount. I am a 24 year old female with two kids, ages 4 and 1. I have an unremarkable medical history. I thought I was fine and just experiencing normal fatigue associated with the stress of working full time and being a mother of two kids, but now I am questioning everything. I shouldn't have all these symptoms at once, right? I now realize something is wrong after the numbness started happening in my arm and hand. I just started having this mild sharp pain today in the area around the lump in my left ribcage. My doctor ordered a diagnostic mammogram after feeling a small lump in the 3 o'clock region of the left breast, but reassured me she didn't think it was anything. I just had that test last Friday and should hear something this week. She didn't say anything about my arm being swollen, but I didn't go over every symptom I've been experiencing like I just did on here. Do you think I should follow up and have more tests ran, or are these normal compaints for someone in their 20s??? If I wouldn't have experienced them all together over an extended period it wouldn't worry me at all. I know what lymph nodes are and how they function, but I haven't at any infections except for a case of acute cystitis with hematuria a couple weeks ago. I received a rocephin shot and antibiotics to take for 10 days, and my lymph nodes were still swollen after taking all of it.
