Brief Answer:
Anemia most likely...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

High pulse rate based on the details provided can be attributed directly to low hemoglobin (anemia). Body develops compensatory mechanisms to make up for low hemoglobin function and one of the compensatory mechanism is high pulse rate. If there are other symptoms such as palpitation and breathing difficulties your wife needs echocardiogram and heart check up.

If I were her treating physician, I would refer her to an hematologist for evaluation of low hemoglobin. I might be able to find a probable reasons, if you can provide me her complete blood count report including MCV, hematocrit value; peripheral smear examination and iron study reports (if you have them). Please consult a hematologist and he will know about these tests.

Brief Answer: XXXXXXX Oncology Institute

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Personally I am unaware of doctors in XXXXXXX However the closest I can find on the web is XXXXXXX Oncology Institute. You have Dr. XXXXXXX Bacchu practising there and he is a hematologist.

Alternatively, you can visit the local physician for evaluation of chronic anemia. The initial blood work up will give us clues as to the cause of anemia and hence its treatment.

Hope this helps.

Take care
