Posted on Mon, 13 Jun 2016
Question: Hi. For the past 5 years i have had a verry sedentary life with no exercise at all. Today was my first day at the gym. At start i had to walk at a fast pace for 20 min. My pulse went up to 150. The rest of the 2 hours were with other exercise. I feel pretty tired and i think my heart was betting a bit fast then usual. Is this something normal and will it get better in time?

Brief Answer:
Normal reaction of your organism

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

After a long sedentary lifestyle it was a normal reaction of your organism. Don't worry. Try to start from less extensive exercises. With time your muscles and cardiovascular system will get used to physical activities, and you will tolerate harder activities.
It is a good decision to try more active lifestyle, so go ahead, and don't worry.

Take care
