Question: Dear Dr
My daughter breaths very heavily although she seems quiet healthy her teachers seem concerned and have noticed along with other people what further action should I take she is 12 years old

I understand your concern.

As per your history she probably seems to have to Tachypnea,which is state of increased respiratory rate.

Even though she seems healthy you need to get a complete health check here.

The major things need to be ruled out here is a Congenital heart disease and Pulmonary Shunts.

For this its extremely important to get a 2 Dimensional echo and Helical CT chest.

If these investigations come out ,then you can largely relax.
