What Causes Heart Palpitations Upon Drinking?
Question: Hi I never had a heart issue but over past 1-2 years I've noticed after 1 cosmo on Sat.nite or ice cold drinks heart starts rapidlyracing and continues about 15 hours straight then resumes its normal regular beat What's causing that to happen?Alcohol seems to bring it on

I request few more information regarding following
1) in your history you have mentioned about heart issue, what exactly the doctor has diagnosed your condition, kindly mention if at all?
2) What medications are you having currently? plz give the dosing as well?
3) Is your complaint associated with chest pain, dizziness, vomiting, breathless ness?
4) does it occur only on alcohol intake only or/and during other events or at rest as well?
5) Was it there on alcohol consumption previously?
Answer to these will help me to have a clearer clinical picture.
Meanwhile I suggest you to get a baseline ECG done.

Condition has only happened past 1-2 years Have had EKG already Only occurs afyer any alcohol consumption and/or ice xold drinks ice tea or whatever.lasts approx.15 hours .what may cause this to happen.I'm only on BP meds Hyzaar and Metoprolol
