What Causes Hard Lump Above Genitals While Suffering From Cold?
Question: I have been taking OTC cold medicine and Pepto for about a week; mainly a constant body ache and some sinus issues. Today I experienced sharp abdominal and back pain and have a noticeable hard lump above the genitals on my right hand side; I am in considerable pain right now and have taken 2 Advil. I am a white male, 58 years old. Any idea what may be happening here?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Cold and sinus congestion needs supportive care. Pepto indicates you had a gastric discomfort that explain abdominal pain. If the abdominal pain is still there, nexium should be started. Advil might be triggering the pain as well as it causes gastritis. Nutshell, your cold and sinus symptoms need supportive remedies and home remedies and the pepto should be replaced with nexium or any other PPi to see if it gives relief.
A s far as lump in genitals is concerned, that appears to be a different entity and should be evaluated. A scrotal ultrasound, groin examination will be advised. Also meanwhile scrotal support will help. Talk to yoru doctor and let them decide what is best for you.
