Brief Answer:
Need to search for hair loss cause, bupropion may cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXX,

I can understand your concern.

Among the medicines for bipolar (lamotrigine, cymbalata and zolpidem), no one is responsible for significant hair loss.Only bupropion can cause significant hair loss after long term use and that is not in all cases.

In your case other reasons for hair loss might be:

-kidney disease and secondary less excretion of urea and other metabolites

- stress it self is responsible for hair loss

- thyroid hormone evaluation should also be done as it is also one of the common cause for hair loss

-It may be due to overall aging and physical condition.

Nutritional supplement including biotin, zinc and vitamin b12 can help in hair loss.

-Topical minoxidil solution application would help.

For bupropion alternative you can discuss with your psychiatrist. It can be stopped completely if you are stable with lamotigine only. Or lamotrigine dose can be increased. Or another medicine like mirtazapine or desvenlafaxine can be added.

For detail evaluation and treatment and prescription of minoxidil consultation of dermatologist is needed.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.
