What Causes Green And Red Spots On Body?
Question: Hi,
I have got Green spots on my back for almost 2-3 years.
I have uploaded a few pics of the same.
Additionally, I see many red small spots on my body.
Few are much scattered and seen very occassionally, whereas few of them are almost since 1-2 years.
I have labelled the pics with the area in which those are seen and also the frequency of their presence.
Please advise.

I have seen the attached photographs.
I understand your concern.
The bluish spots which are visible at back are most likely Sebaceous cyst. It is a condition of skin characterised by cystic swelling involving sebaceous glands. The diagnostic feature of sebaceous cyst is the presence of central punctum.
it is usually asymptomatic and may increase in size progressively.
Treatment of choice is surgical excision under local anaesthesia.
The red spots that are scattered on thighs and legs are most like due to papular urticaria. These are a result of hypersensitivity reaction to the mosquito bite found usually on exposed parts of body.
They have self limiting course and may need antihistaminics like levocetrizine at times for symptomatic relief.
The grouped light colored rash visible above elbow seems to be due to Atopic dermatitis.
Papular urticaria is also a feature of Atopic dermatitis.
For this, I prefer to advise intensive moisturiser to apply over whole body multiple times a day.
The rash usually settles with moisturisers . If not then mid potency steroid like mometasone is added.
Visit your doctor so that he can examine you and give you prescription accordingly. You can share my opinion with him. I hope it helps.
