Brief Answer:
Due to allergic reaction to vaginal secretions and menstrual discharge.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have severe burning in genital and red spots on glans penis after having a sex with your wife during her menstrual period .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1) Does your wife had white vaginal discharge (leucorrhoea ) before her menstrual period .

The burning in genital to both of you is mostly due to allergic reaction to the vaginal secretions and menstrual discharge .

Consult her to Gynecologist for vaginal examination and get following basic test done to confirm the diagnosis .
1) Swab test and culture of vaginal discharge .
2) Routine urine test and culture .

Both of you need to take antibiotic like Co-AMOXYCLAV(Augmentin) along with Metronidazole twice daily .

Ensure to drink more water .Wash genitals twice daily with warm water

Avoid sexual intercourse till both of you become symptom free .

Please note that this is not a STD .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .

Thanks and Regards.

Hello doc

She did not have any discharge before her periods.

She had checked with a gynae who has told her that the uterus is swollen and sensitive with retained blood in the uterus and there is sensitivity of d vulva also.

She has given her an ointment for external application and a suppository for insertion in d vagina.

Should i apply any ointment??
How long will it take to heal?
Whats the best treatment for me and her??
For how long do we need to take d antibiotics??

Thanks?
