Brief Answer:
urinary tract infection- bladder infections are a type of urinary tract inf

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is likely a urinary tract infection, this is the most common cause for increased frequency of urination.

An urinary tract infection is one that involves any aspect of the urinary tract. This can include the bladder, urethra, ureter, kidneys. A bladder infection is a type of urinary tract infection.

To confirm, you would need a urinalysis at your doctor's office, once it is confirmed, then treatment involves: (1) using a lot of fluids to help flush the urinary tract, cranberry juice or products can be included in this if possible

(2)antibiotics are needed to treat an urinary tract infection. These would need to be prescribed by your doctor

Your doctor may send a sample of urine to the lab, this is not done when it is a simple urinary tract infection but if it is thought to be complicated then a urine sample may be sent-(1) fever, (2)symptoms/signs of kidney involvement,
(3)person very unwell,
(4)history of previous frequent urinary tract infections
(5)history of abnormal structure of some aspect of the urinary tract

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
