Question: I am a 52 year old male. I am experiencing painful, burning urination, bloody urine, small blood clots, frequent urination, incontinence, had a negative bacteria culture and put on antibiotic. I have an appointment with urologist tomorrow. I have had some symptoms since Feb. Saw my doctor, he would prescribe antibiotics. Symptoms would get better then come back. What do you think my problem is?

Brief Answer:
needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I went through the query and understood your concern.

Looking at your symptoms and history you need to get evaluated for diagnosis. I appreciate that you have an appointment with urologist.

The frequent painful urination, blood in urine and even clots suggest the mucosal injury in the urinary tract. The reason may be any stone causing any mucosa injury or even any other pathology like tumor. You need to get done USG abdomen and pelvis, per rectal examination and even cystoscopy. This will diagnose your problem.

For now take plenty of oral fluids and continue other drugs. You can discuss the above with your doctor.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries. I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.
Regards
