Brief Answer:
Anti-fungal medicines help temporarily

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

It seems like a fungal infection, since it is getting better with anti-fungal creams. It is a very common issue nowadays, mostly related to lowered immunity, stress and routine use of antibiotics.
Which cream are you using? Do you have any history of diabetes, etc?

I would suggest the following:

-Apply anti-fungal cream like miconazole as and when required, upto two times a day
-For symptomatic relief of itching, antihistaminics may be added like levocetrizine
-Keep the area dry and clean
- Raise you immunity with fruits and vegetables. Exercise daily for atleast 30 min. Take hygienic food and drink cleaner water. This will help you the most.
-Avoid unnecessary medicines especially antibiotics.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Antibiotics can be tried

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

The location of the lesion is such that it points more towards fungal infection. But still there may be component of bacterial infection. It may not be cured permanently, but steps can be taken to reduce it.

Firstly keep the area clean at all times. Soap and betadine solution can be used for the purpose. Oral antibiotics can be tried. I would suggest tab gramocef-0 200 mg two times a day for atleast 5 days. This should reduce the lesion.

Antiallergic medicines like phenargen or desloratadine will help with the itching.

Anti-fungal cream like zole cream (miconazole) can be applied once a day. Oral antifungals will also provide temporary relief only and may not be helpful in the long run, so better avoid them.

Hope it helps.
