What Causes Flatulence?

Question: I delivered a baby 4 months back and now im back in office. Im suffering from a very bad passing of gas issue. i tried to avoid glutin food but still no help, is it common for new mothers and what can i do to resolve this issue

Increased gas is due to improper digestion. It occurs due to certain food items and if there is any gut infection.

I would advise you to get a stool test done to rule out infection. Also try to avoid ga forming food items. Most often diet rich in fiber content cause increased gas. These include beans, cabbage etc. Try to lessen the intake of these. I would like to however tell you that fiber is important for good bowel movements. So you need to adjust the intake of fiber food items so that it does not affect you bowel habits.

You can take mdications like Galto and gasofilm for relief of symptoms.
