Brief Answer:
Ketone could be due to starvation and fever

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Mr XXXXXXX

Fever in children usually leads to decreased intake of food. This decreased intake of food especially carbohydrates and proteins, causes fat in body to be utilised . Excessive utilisation of fat leads to increased production of Ketones, causing them to be excreted in Urine. ( Starvation Ketonuria)
Presence of ketones in case of your child is not worrisome. If there are no pus cells/bacteria ruling out Urinary tract infection as cause of fever is more reassuring. Specific gravity is normal. I hope there are no pus cell in urine.

I would suggest the following

1. Ensure good intake of water
2. Ensure Good nutrition : Regularly giving meals in small quantity
3. Antipyretic to decrease fever

Brief Answer:
Rest of Urine report normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear Mr XXXXXXX

Presence of only 2 to 3 pus cells usually signifies the urine coming in contact with skin. So there is no urinary tract infection. Rest of Urine report is normal.

For Cough I would also suggest the following apart from other medicine that you are giving

1. Warm saline gargling : To a glass of lukewarm water add 2 spoons of common table salt. Make child gargle the throat with it twice a day

2. Steam inhalation : Preferably using electronic steamer. Maintain safe distance from baby

3. Decoction : 1 cup of milk + 2 spoon sugar + 1 / 2 spoon turmeric + 20 Tulsi leaves. Bring it to boil. Filter it and make child drink it warm. It will be very soothening to throat

4. Make child sip spoon of honey with 2 drops of lemon juice added thrice a day

Above remedies are beneficial and free from any side effects. Respiratory infection in children is usually caused by viral infection and is usually self limiting.

Do get back to me anytime for any further information.

Take care
