What Causes Feeling Of Heaviness In The Wrist While Stretching The Fingers?

default
Posted on Thu, 30 Mar 2017
Question: Hi after a bicep workout about three months ago I felt I stiffness and tight in my elbow, forearm and wrist. I saw two drs and both believed I had a case of tennis elbow. I have rested for 3 months. My elbow and forearm discomfort seems to have dissipated ( they still crack all the time but it is not painful and I can live with it) My wrist causes me a constant discomfort, especially when lifting anything. It feels like there is pressure on my wrist at all times. The best way to describe the pain is it feels like the sensation you would feel when you lift to much weight. I get this feeling when slightly bending my fingers back. What do you think this could be? Your time and input are very much appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Can be mild tendonitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The feeling of heaviness in wrist specially on stretching fingers back is likely to be related to mild tendon inflammation. This can be relieved by decreasing the use of keyboards and using an elastic wrist brace for an extra support in the area. You can also do a hot compress and take a mild pain killer for relief. Avoid all painful activities. painless joint crackling is harmless and is not worrisome. You can take a tendon inflammation healing supplements like Tendocare - contains Chondroitin Sodium Sulfate, Collagen Peptide, Sodium Hyaluronate, and Vitamin C as active ingredients.
I hope this answers your query.
