What Causes Feeling Of A Lump In The Throat After Vomiting?

Question: I am 15 weeks pregnant. Last night i vomitted everything i had from lunch. After the episode, i feel like something is stuck inside the throat which makes more nauseatic and not able to eat. Kindly let me know wat this condition could be.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
This is no particular condition but possibly that the stomach acid would have caused injury to your throat mucousa and hence causing a constant lump feel ( due to deem) in the throat with nausea. You may try taking warm liquids and an antiemetic like MECLIZINE 50mg SR once a day, safe in pregnancy which shall help you avoid nausea further.
If the feeling doesn't subside in next 48 hrs then you may need to visit a ENT SPECIALIST for an opinion.
