Brief Answer:
May be an episode and not a warning!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this diagnosis of Afib that you have. Afib really has no warning signs but rather symptoms which may include irregular heartbeat, palpitations, feeling of passing out or actually passing out, etc. We can only tell for sure that it was an episode if you were examined at that time. Otherwise, we can only suspect that it was probably or possibly one.

Fortunately, most episodes of Afib are not fatal. But, what plans is your doctor having in place for you as regards this Afib? Ask him and collect ore information on this. Also, ask him what you should do each time you have symptoms suggestive of Afib.

In all, it could have been an episode and not a warning sign as there is no Afib until there is one. Ask your doctor what the management plan for this and the action to take when symptoms are suggestive.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for clarifications and more information if need be.
