Question: Re: opiates passed through semen:
Feeling opiate high after sex: broad spec drug urine test positive for opiates. I am not on opiates. Have had experiences much more severe than this when man was using heroin. Interesting to be proved correct. What research is available on this subject?

Brief Answer:
Near to impossible

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

There is enough enough research to state that a person can not be get intoxicated with opioids simple because she had sex with an opioid user.

The fact lies with semen amount. Most man ejaculate just 3 to 5 ml and any live person (read sexually active) can not have a level which can be detected in sexual recipient's blood.

I understand that you get high immediately after sex but there is another valid explanation for this. The science have proved that sex produces endogenous opioid like substances in brain and that is the reason we feel pleasure during sex and crave for more.

I hope this answers you.
Thanks again.

Well my multiple experiences say otherwise. There is researched evidence of drugs collecting in semen. These experiences compare in sensation almost exactly the same as when I had morphine via the cervix for an IUD fitting in an emergency, and orher experiences of oral or injected opiates.
You would do better to open your mind and actually do some research. Paying to be told by 'scientists' that things that blatently exist 'don't exist' just goes to show how narrow minded many in your profession really are. I asked you to point me to further research. Kindly wake up and provide ne with what I'm paying for instead of flippant dismissal.

I think I was not clear

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me with helpful feedback.

It seems to me that my message did not go well as there was some misunderstanding.

I mean to say that the level is never enough to cause positive blood tests. I agree with your point that it goes through the semen to sexual recipient and as you said the person may get similar kind of experience but it remains below the threshold to get detected by either urine or blood tests.

Regarding the further point of research it will be better to get the blood quantification and semen quantification of opioids in your sexual partner. This will give use direct evidence of level of opioids received by you.

In addition for yourself you can ask for determination of opioids in blood. This will again give us direct evidence that the opioids found in your blood and your partners blood and semen have relationship.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Some of that is useful, however it is evident from the positive urine test that it is possible to pass on a high level of opioids. My partner's tolerance for drugs is unusually high- stupidly high in fact. In the past when he was using heroin my reactions to semen were extremely strong, giving me a high and comedown and withdrawal that would last 2-3 days and leave me craving more as well as stinking like him. He can take whacking great doses of things, say he has, and behave apparently normally. Hence I can use testing myself as a method of monitoring the situation. When using opiates he is extremely secretive about it but I can need to protect myself in case he starts to be abusive, hence testing myself without confronting him. I agree that in an ideal world we could explore tests as suggested, hoever gettimg such tests out of the nhs is improbable, hence my reliance on internet bought urine tests that are a godsend.

Perhaps you can use this conversation as inspiration for doing a quantative research project. I am sure that it could potentially help many women experiencing domestic abuse or forced addiction or who have partners who sometimes abuse these substances. Addiction research needs to expand from simply focussing on how to get people off drugs into comprehending the interactions that can keep people in difficult situations. I am sure that this experiencd must be shared by other women- it is just that i have the self awareness and control experiences to compare it to and the ability to talk about such a taboo subject in scientific terms.
I am sure there is scope for this.
You could stand to get funding for such a project.
Challenging what you believe is useful. The bature of true scientific enquiry is yo ask what could possibly be there without prejudice, and be open to answers that may XXXXXXX you.

Contrary to your assumption funding is very difficult to get approved here in XXXXXXX but I have talked to one of my friend in USA about this project and we may come out with some conclusive results in near future.

By the thanks for sharing and suggestions.

Spiritual guidance I can do. The multidimensional truth is available. This can help to ask the right questions to find surprising answers. My guides are saying: "if you want to ask the right questions you should ask XXXXXXX Your spirit of enquiry is intuitive. Hers is connected to the higher dimensions. The spirit of enquiry should be acknowledging the quantum power of the observer. Non-expectation allows for all quantum possibility. Quantum possibility leads to path to revelation. Asking correct question leads to quantum reality. Asking the correct question is creation of path to follow in quantum existant."
