What Causes Extreme Cramping, Bloating And Constipation?
Question: For five days, I have had extreme cramping, bloating and lots of trouble going to the bathroom for a number 2. I have soreness in my lower part of my belly, lower backpain and a pain next to my belly button on the right side that comes and goes. Since last night, anything I eat goes right through me and I have diarrhea.
How do I eat safely and get rid of this pain? Was doubled over last night so I drove myself to the ER. Was given a xray and no obstruction of stomach was found; they said I looked very gassy and lots of stool in there. Based on my past history and visits there, the doctor basically made me feel like a hypochondriac and wouldn't do a CT scan to check for appendix. I'm sure she is right in a way about the cancer risk but that attitude put me off.
Brief background - I have a history of IBS and did get an endoscopy and colonscopy over a year ago. Everything came back fine and I was told to just watch my diet and drink lots of fluids. Over the past six months I have put on 10 pounds from eating whatever I want and enjoying food. I also have a history of multiple cysts on both ovaries and have PCOS. Wonder if that is also a contributor to this pain.

Brief Answer:
You need to get rid of the accumulated stool.Get high fiber diet
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health Care Magic.
Your IBS is the cause of your problem. It is characterized by alternate constipation and diarrhea.
The first thing you need to do is to apply an enema (under medical supervision of course) and get rid of the fecal load that has been collected. Subsequently you need to be on lactulose syrup regularly (prescription medicine, need a doctor to write it for you) at dinner. You also need to take a high fiber diet including plenty of green leafy vegetables.
