What Causes Extreme Coldness In Right Side Of The Body?

default
Posted on Fri, 22 Apr 2016
Question: Over the last few days, I've notice my right foot was getting cold easily. Now, I realize my entire right side gets cold rather easily, mostly my right hand and foot, but also my right leg, arm, and buttocks. It's pretty much hemispherical. If I'm in a warm place, it's fine. My right calf is cool to the point of numbness if I sit too long. This feels like a poor circulation problem. No history of heart or similar issues, even within the family. I'm 6'2", 175lbs and reasonably active.

Brief Answer:
Can be a physiological variation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The tendency to become cooler in extremities is likely to be related to circulation problems. If there is no swelling of the feet or pain during long walks then it is not likely to be a worrisome issue. Some variation in the circulation of the limbs can be physiological also. But still it is best to consult a cardiologist to rule out any organic causes.
I hope this answers your query.
