Brief Answer:
may be related to change in metabolism

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Some medications can be associated with weight changes.

Weight changes can be achieved by: (1)change in metabolism , this may be the mechanism in which the bilocor is causing weight gain

(2)change in appetite
(3)decrease in energy and physical activity
(4)decreasing fullness of the stomach (by speeding up emptying) and therefore increasing the frequency of meals

To counteract the weight changes, she would have to monitor her food and drink intake.
Activity is also important but she is already exercising daily.

Since the medication may be affecting metabolism, she would have to be careful to use a diet that is less likely to be associated with weight gain.

This would mean: (1) eliminating any normal sodas or fruit drinks (only use no or low calorie drinks),
(2) increasing fruits and vegetables so that they form part of every meal (including snacks)
(3)important not to skip meals because this slows metabolism- use healthy snacks in between
(4)use a lot of water
(5)make sure salad or vegetables make up a large portion of main meals
(6)eliminate or significantly reduce any unhealthy snacks or desserts

These methods would help to counteract any effect of the medication.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
