Brief Answer:
You are most probably having excess post nasal discharge in throat .

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed medications and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having excess post nasal discharge in throat . It common after cold/flu .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice you
Saline nasal rinse thrice daily ,
Salt water gargle twice daily &
Antihistaminic Fexofenadine (prescription drug) at night

This treatment plan will decrease mucus production & thin it gradually in the next few days.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Regards.

I have looked up numerous sites and they say with post nasal drip ,you have issues of a night but I dont . I sleep soundly until I get up. I also read something about where the mucus can come up from your stomach ??. Which I'm not sure of..
My doctor prescribed Doxycycline Sandoz 100mg & I'm using Nasonex spray twice a day. I didn't have this info before as I was at work. Would having dairy products make it worse or is that just a myth ?
