What Causes Enlarged Uvula In Mouth And Pain While Drinking And Eating?
Question: when I wake up yesterday morning, Uvula in my mouth seemed to be enlarged. I was able to feel it on my tongue and also there was some pain while drinking and eating something.
But now it's better
Should I worry about that.

The symptoms you are experiencing are typical of Pharyngitis, it is most commonly Viral in nature but sometimes also bacterial. What you are experiencing is most probably viral as there is no high grade fever. There is nothing to worry as it has its own course and will get over in a week . you can do saline gargles with warm water for four times a day. drink warm water, donot drink COLD. water. if you have fever then you need to take antibiotic such as azyrhromycin 500 mg to prevent super additive infection. take care. Last night before I faced the problems I consumed alcohol and also smoked. Is that the reason for that. Is it safe to smoke and drink now.
