What Causes Electric Shock Like Feelings In The Feet?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Mar 2017
Question: I am experiencing electric shock feelings in both feet,( first toe next to big toe).
I recently had a stroke, six weeks ago, but have recovered and leading a normal life (68 yrs)
The day of the stroke I had neck manipulation but apart from that there were no apparent causes.
My neck is still stiff and aches occasionally.
I am concerned about neurological damage.

Brief Answer:
Spinal cord conditions to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Stroke may result in abnormal sensations in different parts of the body, but, since there is a nerve pattern distribution and neck stiffness, compression of spinal cord and/or nerves by conditions such degerative spine disease, herniated disc disease etc. should be taken in consideration.

Since you will see your GP soon, I suggest your to discuss with him about these conditions too, besides stroke, and further examination with imaging studies such spine MRI.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
