Brief Answer: continue treatment. intravenous antibiotics. Detailed Answer: Hi sir. Ear pain radiating to the head is more so because of the infection in the ear. You may continue the current treatment. But if pain persists for one more day then you may need to be evaluated. You may need higher antibiotic and more dosage. I usually prescribe stronger antibiotics like amoxicillin to my patients with ear infection. If there are other symptoms like discharge from ear, etc, medicines can be added accordingly. I would advise you pain killer like diclofenac. So consult your doctor for further management. Treating ear pain without examination is little difficult. Let me know the details about your symptoms so that I am better able to help.
