What Causes Dull Pain In Right Eye Before Cataract Surgery?
Question: I am scheduled to have a routine cataract surgery. i am 71 years old. ( a young 71-:) I have been experiencing a dull pain in my right eye off and on for several weeks. It feels like I 'sprained' my eye, or at times a dull ache, I am taking eye drops to lowere my eye pressure readings. My numbers is at 16 by taking these drops: Betimol and Lumigan. Most of the day I do not even feel the discomfort. Lastly also in my right I developed a small thin band or cloud that a covers a small like area in the front of my eye. It barely affects my sight, but I know it is there. I would appreciate your comments.Thank you XXXX

Coming to your question of a small thin band visible on the cornea, it is probably a corneal degeneration like arcus senilis and no need to be worried about this and no treatment is required for this condition as it will not affect the vision.
