Brief Answer:
Side effects of scoped co

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM

I am sorry to hear that you are having stomach problems and dry mouth. The list of your medication shows you are taking scoped co which is a medication used to reduce stomach cramps and help with diarrhea but one of its main side effects is dry mouth. As long as you take this medication you will be bothered with the dry mouth. If you need to continue to take the scoped co then I recommend you use a mouthwash called Biotene. Biotene is a mouthwash that helps moisturize your mouth . I use it in my practice on patients with chronic dry mouth and it works very well. You can also suck on hard candy to stimulate your salivary glands, lemon drops works best.

Brief Answer:
Dry stomach also related to scoped

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for replying to my answer.

The dry stomach is also related to the scoped. The scoped is a medication in the class similar to belladonna or atropine. This medications cause the dry mouth they also cause the stomach and intestines to basically slow down and become immotile. This will cause constipation and very hard stools.

The pain is associated with a condition called irritable bowel syndrome. The pain is not easily controlled. In my practice I have patient eat a high fiber diet, lots of fruits and vegetables. They may also need to take a fiber laxative like Metamucil or citracel.

I also recommend relaxation and meditation. Though this is not traditional I find that reducing overall stress with relaxation and meditation has greatly helped reduce symptoms.

Regular exercise with walking or gentle running. I have several of my patients doing a Tai Chi

If these don't work there are other medications that can help like lubiprostone but you will need to see your doctor for a prescription.
