What Causes Dry Heaving And Vomiting After Having Food?

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Oct 2014
Question: Several hours after eating I sometimes get dry heaves and also sometimes throw up the last food I eat.
Not the food I've eaten earlier. Also have bouts of diareha (that's now spelled right I know). I've had a colonoscopy and throat scan and nothing was found.

Brief Answer:
Do you keep a food Journal!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. I have the impression that these symptoms raise the concern for possible food intolerance/allergy. I will recommend that you keep a food journal to see with what food types or combinations do you get these disturbing symptoms. If this should happen always with specific meal types, then avoiding future consumption would be a great way forward.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
