Brief Answer:
Due to reduced nerve sensitivity.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Micronized colestipol hydrochloride is a lipid lowering agent for oral use. It may have led to increase in the water content of your stool but would not be directly related to your problem. It seems that with increase in age your anal sphicters are not that tight anymore. With the decreasing control over the sphincter when you try to pass gas (fart), semi solid contents 'dribbles' out. That you are diabetic, is directly related to the loss of sensitivity of the nerves that regulate the process. As of now what you strongly need to do on daily basis is pelvic floor exercises. Google out for it and you will get the techniques. I hope that would provide relief to you.
