default

Question: i have had a weird feeling lately. I get some dizzy spells, and then I am fine. I feel like my head is hot and I breath heat out of my nose, like my nose inside is on fire. I sometimes get a burning hot throat, and I feel tired at certain times. I have had blood work which showed all normal, and have had xrays and cat scans as well. which showed normal. what can this be?

Detailed Answer:
First of all, thanks for using our service. You have some unspecific symptoms that could be related to sinus problems.Chronic sinusitis can give you burning sensation in the nose and if you have accumulation of fluids in the sinus, it can make you feel dizzy and burning inside of your nose. Sinusitis could be just fluid but also sinus polyps can create this symptoms. Blood work will be normal . CT scan can show fluid but sometimes can be normal. You might need an evaluation with ENT and a visual evaluation to check for polyps or any anatomic lesion.
I hope my answer was helpful

what is an anatomic lesion ? I have always had sinus issues and constanly have stuffy nostrils, ever since my nose surgery. What do you mean by unspecific symptoms also? I had a ct scan of my sinuses and the doctor who did the scan said I had something but nothing major. I Have not visited an ENT yet but I probably definitely should. I just get burning sensations through my nose, and mouth and sometimes even my eyes. Its strange.. I visited so many doctors prior and went to a rheumy who said I had fibro or chronic fatigue. Hm I wonder why. there is something else going on that no one can diagnose! Strange how you can visit so many doctors and get no answers. what else do you recommend I do? Can this be something else major that is being missed?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply and I will try to help you with your questions. Anatomic lesion is anything that can be in our body that can create a problem, as a polyp in your sinus is an anatomic lesion . I meant with unspecific that your symptoms can not give a definite diagnose, because it can be symptoms for different things. The burning in your nose and mouth could be a reflex from sinus and ENT should be able to scope and see deep inside of your nose and sinus cavities.Chronic sinusitis can make you tired and not necessary is chronic fatigue.
I don't thing that is something major, specially with negative CT scan.

i just feel my head is hot .. and its not like a fever, because I know what a fever feels like. Can this be Gerd? I feel that awful burning feeling in my throat for the past 3 days. I have been feeling like this ever since I stopped taking birth control pills In XXXXXXX it is terrible to feel this everyday and this has been going on a while. I had endoscopy and after that I started feeling like crap. I do have gastritis as what I was told. can they have done something bad to me when they were doing the endoscopy? maybe they put bacteria in me after the procedure. its just weird that I still feel like this and I don't feel 100% my self anymore after that procedure. what do you suggest??

Dear XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for reply and follow up my response. You might have acid reflux giving you this problems feeling hot. There is a bacteria responsible to chronic gastritis , H.Pylori, but it can grow in your stomach. It is not part of contamination or something that came from the endoscopy. You may want to ask your gastroenterologist if he took a sample from your stomach for evaluation of this bacteria. I would suggest to try a healthy diet, avoid spicy food and try mostly natural food like fruits, vegetables and broiled chicken or fish. You will feel better.

she took a sample and said I was good. no bacteria, nothing. so its very confusing as to why I have hot throat, and hot nose and I feel hot. its just strange, and quite annoying. what else can this be? does this have anything with me coming off BC pills?
