Posted on Fri, 4 Apr 2014
Question: I'm feeling dizzy, weak, slight headache, fullness in my head, left ear feels clogged and eyes hurt when looking around. I've not had a cold, but have had nasal drainage (blowing my nose, left nostril more so). No drainage going down my throat.

Brief Answer: ENT consultation and antibiotic and supportive Detailed Answer: Hi. Gone through your medical history and the present complaints. All your present symptoms make me think of an upper respiratory tract infection possibly with sinusitis as a complication ( more nasal discharge from left nostril). This can give rise to what you have, namely clogged feeling in the left ear, eye hurting, fullness in head , dizziness and headache. In all such patients, I would suggest to take a course of an antibiotic, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, Decongestant nasal drops 3 to 4 times followed by plain water steam inhalations. It is wise to take an opinion of an ENT Surgeon for clinical and endoscopic examination of ENT, and to get a proper prescription. Please do not blow the nose. Take a bed -rest if possible. If the medical management does not help much, I would request to go for further investigations like X-ray or CT scan preferably of the sinuses. You say there is no drainage going down the throat, it is still possible to have an infection.
Note: Consult an experienced Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist online for further follow up on ear, nose, and throat issues - Book a Call now.
