What Causes Dizziness, Nausea And Neck Pain When Diagnosed With Atrial Fibrillation?
Question: I have an afib heart problem and take Flecainide 100 mg 2 times a day. I usually take Digoxin 250 once a day. I have been taking a medicine for upper GI problems and it said to stop Digoxin if I was taking it. I have felt dizzy faint and a bit of nausea for past 4 or 5 days. I have also had a pain in the back of my neck for a long time and thought it had to due with pillow. For the last couple of days I have had a pain in my right hip. I checked my stats at pharmacy tonight. My count was 107 over 53 with no pulse coming up. I took it again and it was 99 over 62 but still no pulse. Tonight when I was going to sleep I had a bad pain in my calf which feels like it is deep in my vein. It is hard when I press on it. Is this something I can wait until morning or do I need to get to a hospital tonight?

If i'd be your treating doctor in the ER i would want to find out at least three things:
1.) what exactly is wrong when you say "upper gi problems?" To be found out by ultrasound, blood test at first, specific diagnostics might follow
2.) why is your pulse rate undetectable, is there any serious heart condition? To be ruled out by ekg and examination first
3.) Could the pain in the calf and hip/ leg be thrombosis? To be found out by ultrasound of the veins
I think getting fast medical help makes a lot of sense in your case to rule out acute heart condition, thrombosis and give your upper gi problem the specific treatment also.
