What Causes Dizziness, Nausea And Blood In Vomit After Alcohol Consumption?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jan 2017
Question: I have been drinking as its been new years eve. I don't like feeling dizzy and nauseous so I forced (stuck fingers down throat) myself to throw up. When I did there was a relatively big size of something big and pink. Like flesh. That came up. I have had a previous condition of having an ulcer but this is something that I haven't experienced.
I'm kinda scared to be honest.
Please help if you know what it is

Brief Answer:
may not be all that worrisome.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your anxiety. Let me assure you that it may not be all that worrisome.
As you have had ulcer previously, it probably has started bleeding a bit (induced by alcohol). The clot formed might have dislodged from the ulcer bed and have come out with vomiting.
First of all, i would recommend you to stop alcohol immediately. Keep yourself on bland diet. You may try some antacids like omeprazole 40mg once a day and sucralfate suspension 20 ml twice a day for a week.
If your symptoms do not regress, you can consult your GP.
ALL THE BEST. Feel free to ask any further queries.
