Brief Answer:
Check blood pressure and let me know the reading

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
The symptoms you describe may be because of higher blood pressure in spite of taking 8 mg coversyl.
Do check the blood pressure and let me know the reading so I can guide you further. Also take multiple reading at different times of the day , particularly when you are having symptoms
Also as you are already taking 8 mg coversyl a day , rather than increasing the dose I would suggest adding another medication with complementary action to control the blood pressure better .

Would wait for your response.

Brief Answer:
140 / 90 shouldn't cause the symptoms you describe

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
140 / 90 is just the upper limit . Normally it should cause dizziness and fatigue , though it can cause dull headache .Only if your pressure at all times are less than 120 , then even a reading of 140 plus may cause the symptoms.

I went through your previous history and Vitamin b injection doesn't cause the symptoms, though deficiency of b12 surely cause the problem you described.

My observations here would be
1) I would still try bringing blood pressure well under 120 / 80 , to see how much it decreases the symptoms you have .

2) Coversyl itself can cause dizziness and fatigue ,
though it's a rare side effect and too non specific. It's a good drug and stopping it or changing it is not justifies at this point of time . However if other causes are ruled out , one may decrease the dose and give another antihypertensive as combination is and alternative

More description about symptoms,
Whether you wear spectacles , any eye or ear issues ,
Does the dizziness happen when you suddenly stand a from bed or sitting posture or routine activities and more info on other medical relevant info, would help me narrow down on things.

Ty.

Basically I am dizzy at times and my vision is blurred is distored constantly throughout the day.

I should tell you along with taking coversyl my GP has prescribed me effexor xr feeling my symptoms are anxiety stress and depression based.

Overall i feel crappy.

Dizzy, fatigued and vision problems.

I am not sure what else to do other than hope the drugs take effect and my symptoms subside so i can get back to a normal life.

Any advice?

Brief Answer:
Don't stop the medication abruptly. Give it sometime to act

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
All the symptoms you describe can occur under the domain of anxiety disorders . At 43 year I would particularly want that all organic causes are ruled out . Maybe after a good general examination and detailed history, your doctor would have decided to start you on anti anxiety medication . I think it's justified. There is no harm in taking it for sometime particularly if any life stress event is going on . and then under observation it can be slowly tapered off . storing suddenly will aggravate the symptoms more and it's not a wise choice to make . Give some time for the drug to act, it would take atleast 3 weeks for the same.

Let me know if any more information is needed and I would be happy to help.
