What Causes Discomfort Under The Left Breast?

default
Posted on Wed, 12 Oct 2016
Question: I am a female, 62 years old, having a discomfort feeling not a pain, under my left breast since 10 am today. I had sinus surgery 1 week ago and have been doing great. no other symptoms. I chewed 4 baby aspirin about noon and if seemed to get a little better. I just had a stress test and echo about a month ago and they were good except for mild mitral valve regurgitation. It onlys hurts when I reach for something or bend over. I am wondering if I need to do anthing special or wait it out. I have had it before and usually the aspirin and a few coughs and it's gone.

Brief Answer:
Might be muscle spasm, analgesic and muscle relaxant

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query and do understand your concern.

Is there any history of injury? Or excessive stretching?
Is there any swelling? Redness?
it may be due to muscle strain.

You should take NSAID like Aceclofenac with muscle relaxants like Chlorzoxazone/ Tizanidine twice daily for 3-5 days based on the response. You can ask your local doctor for prescription of this agent. Along with this hot compression and analgesic gel or spray will be beneficial. Also give rest and avoid any activities that aggravates the pain. This will help you.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.

Take care.
