Posted on Tue, 4 Aug 2015
Question: I n the past year I have had trouble passing urine after sex.. The problem was not intolerable at first but it has gradually gotten worse. Usually, after my erection deflated, I would be able to pass without much trouble. Today was the first day that i cannot pass much urine. I have the pain of a full bladder but cannot void with any significance. Please help..

Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have acute Prostatitis or stricture urethra.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1)Do you have to strain to pass urine ?
2)Is there pain in perineal region ?
3)Do you have other urinary symptoms like frequency for urination .poor stream, urgency etc?

The problem that you have needs to be investigated and you need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to establish the cause of your symptoms.
1) Routine urine test and urine culture.
2) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis.
3) Trans Rectal Ultrasound Scanning
4)Radiological test called Cystourethrogram to rule out stricture urethra

In the mean while take antibiotics like Cefixime along with smooth muscle relaxant Tomsulosin

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
