Question: Trying to determine what I did or ate or whatever -- jus spent 3 days sleeping almost around the clock with swollen glands n my neck that were painful to touch sores in the mouth coated tongue no fever that I am aware of -- had mumps as a child on one side and this was reminiscence -- impossible to swallow without severe pain so did not eat but did try to stay hydrated muscle aches in shoulder used heating pad -- somewhat better today some swelling is gone more on one side than the other

First off, this could be strep throat--

But with all the symptoms you mentioned my first thought would be infectious mononucleosis which can be screened for, but, unfortunately, can only be treated with rest, fluids, and ibuprofen and can take weeks to get over.

It also sounds like you may have thrush--a yeast infection of the tongue and mouth that can be treated with nystatin oral rinse or with oral Diflucan.

At this point you need to see a doctor for an exam and blood work to determine exactly how to treat the problem.
