Question: I am having a problem related to dental treatment .
There is a gap formed between my exactly front 3 teeth of lower jaw. There was a lot of tartre earlier,But doctor removed the tartre and adviced me for capping.
It is a costly affair.secondly he said that he will do the proper filing and will put a cap in it.so that the gaps wiil be filled.
My toung touches always to these teeth and I feel the allignment of these teeth is changed.
I feel doubtful of that filing and afraid my good teeth will be cut.pl suggest remedy.

Brief Answer:
Teeth spacing due to infection, capping is appropriate..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain spacing between the teeth when there is excess of plaque and tartar generally occurs when the infection invades the gums and there is loss of attachment between the teeth and gums leading to loosening of teeth causing mobility of teeth and spacing..

This seems to be a cause in your case..

I would like to know a few more details so that I can guide you better..

1. Are your teeth loose or moving?
2. Are the gums receding or moving down from its place?
3. Do you have bleeding or pain in gums?

Please revert back with answers..

Regards.

1.My teeth are not moving or loosing.Only I find their alignment is slightly outwards as my toung keep touching them continuoualy.
2.Gums are also firm, not at all moving down,or receding, Only I feel irritated because toung is brushed continuously on those teeth.
3.There is no bleeding or pain in gums or teeth,
4.My worry is, is this treatment compulsary ?doctor told it to be related to oral cosmetography.
5.With Filing the teeth, would I lose my original teeth?
if possible ,shortly I will send u the photograph of my lower jaw.so that it will be clear to u,

Brief Answer:
Tongue thrusting habit, treatment not compulsory..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome back..

As per your complain, it seems that you have a tongue thrusting habit that is pushing your teeth with tongue..
It can be related to stress and anxiety but not always necessary..

As far as capping the teeth is concerned, it is not a mandatory work to be done and if you want to improve the looks you can get capping done..
You do not loose teeth for capping but they are trimmed to reduce the size so that teeth tend to be appropriate to fit the caps..

Bit first of all consult an Orthodontist and get evaluated and in case if tongue thrusting habit is diagnosed you need to wear Tongue crib orthodontic appliance that will eliminate your habit and then if you wish you can go for capping..

Any further questions are welcome..

Regards..
