What Causes Delayed Tooth Eruption In A Child?

Question: Hi,

My son is almost of 9 months and his teeth are not coming out. When can we expect his teeth to come out? Is their any concern with this?

At times eruption of teeth may be delayed upto 15 months of age and it is not a cause for concern. You may still get him reviewed by a dentist to check whether the growth of teeth under the gums seem proper.

In the meantime give the child rusk or other materials to bite on. Eventually eruption of teeth will occur and you need not worry about the same.
