What Causes Delay In Period After Having Unwanted 72 Post Unprotected Sex?

Question: I had sex on 3rd feb and 12th feb.her last period ended at 2nd feb.both times she had unwanted 72.and got light bleeding for 2 days.normally period date 28th of month.but 28th feb period missed.prega news tested negative.after 12th feb had unwanted 72 and bleed obserbed 17-19th feb.any chance of pregnancy.now its 16th march..should i wait more

Thanks for the query to HCM,
If your partner had taken unwanted 72 after sex on 12th feb and had her withdrawal bleeding on 17th -19th feb , then pregnancy is negated . Also now hew fresh LMP becomes 17th feb , so ideally considering her regularity of menses, her next periods should be due by 20th march. So ideally you should wait for a week to 10 days to allow her menses to resume naturally.

Please suggest me if period would not found after 10 days.what should i do? In this case mifepristone use is effective..what will be the adverse effect if use mifepristone without pregnancy..should i use primoult N for early periods.please suggest me.

relax please,...
after 10 days if the periods don't resume then get a urine pregnancy test done , if negative then you can wait for another 5 days as unwanted 72 is known to delay following periods by a week to 10 days , so wait till exactly 15 days post missed period date and then you may opt for a withdrawal bleed with progestins ( like PRIMOLUT N 10mg twice a day for 5 days) to resume menses .

Thanks a ton for ur valueable guidelines.We have done prega news test thrice in last week.but evry results found negative.we plan to go for laboratory urine test in 3-4 days.please suggest me what to do if found positive.what is the maximum time we will get to use abortion pills if result found positive?

well firstly it is unlikely that you should be pregnant. But if the pregnancy test is positive , medical termination of pregnancy can be undertaken easily till 49 days of pregnancy.
the best way to confirm or rule out at present would be to get a lab based blood serum beta hcg test.

How can i calculate 49 days..bcoz i had sex on 3rd feb and 12th feb..both times found withdrawl bleeding.last bleeding 17 to 19th feb..and how to use abortion pills if found positive..49 days count starts from my 1st or 2nd sex date that i want to know..and my fiance age is 21..so abortion pill is safe or not.

49 days counting shall start from 17th feb onwards, if the test is positive.
also abortion pill should always be taken under supervision as abortion can cause heavy bleeding sometimes and hence should always be supervised by a gynaecologist.

Is it possible to getting pregnant if withdrawl bleeding occurs after unwanted 72..bcoz she taken unwanted 72 both times just with in 1 hrs of sex..and what should be the regular diets if period missed for 15-16 days..and Please tell me the name of regular contraceptive pills which doesn't have adverse effect on health.

Hello,
If withdrawal bleed is seen then pregnancy is ruled out completely as endometrium is shed.
Secondly if periods are delayed and pregnancy is ruled out still, then diet per se has no role and she has to undergo a dilatation and curettage to remove the old endometrium to start a fresh cycle.
most common and safe contraceptive pill which is available is MALA-N for regular use and is generally accepted well by women.

We have done Lab urine test..result found negative.Till now no period.but feeling little bit lower abdomen pain. Should she go for beta HCG test as per u suggested earlier..last unwanted 72 withdrawl bleeding ended 19th feb.one month over..please suggest me should she use abortion pill..then how and what pill to be taken?

hello,
If the pregnancy test is negative and the last bleeding was around 19th feb , then it would be wise to wait for a week more simply because mild abdominal cramps have started with pain and likely that your menses shall start in next few days. If the menses don't start in a week , then we can consider menses by giving progesterone withdrawal. Please don't haste and be patient. Nearly intervention can unnecessarily make her complete cycle irregular for future. so please wait for a week then i shall tell you what medicine to take , please don't try any self medication.
