Question: I have chills and body ache esp in the calves and side of the back. Slight temperature. No cold, cough but very fatigued. Bowel movement normal but when I pee even though I am drinking lots of water-- comes out dark?

Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history of chills, body ache especially in the calf and side of back. The urine is dark in spite of drinking plenty of water. Taking aspirin.


I would advise you the following:
- First of all to send the urine for tests of routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
- start taking Paracetamol at 6 hourly duration.
- Continue drinking plenty of water and oral fluids.
-Consult a Doctor for clinical evaluation, physical examination and investigations
- He would advise you the antibiotics and supportive medicines as may be required.
You would also need to undergo tests of the blood including sugar, Liver and kidney functions as the urine is dark.
