Brief Answer:
Infection, blood, vitamin supplements.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. Dark or golden urine can be caused by a number if conditions. Dehydration is the commonest cause. However, providing you are drinking at least 2 litres of water per day, it will not be due to dehydration. Blood in the urine can cause a dark color. This may be due to kidney disease or infection.
Another cause may be vitamin supplement tablets. These commonly cause urine discolouration.
I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger
