I appreciate your concern regarding the skin condition and I will make sure your problem is solved in rightful way.
The bruise/rash which you have described is very difficult to diagnose and manage without proper clinical examination.
Thus I would insist you to send your pictures in follow up and also little bit of elaborate history regarding the development of bruise, any history of trauma, any use of medications etc.

Pills I am on are Rapeprazole,venal faxing,hydroclorothiazide,tamoxifen.
I have not hit my thigh at all but also noticed a littler one below the big one. I will try to send a picture but not seeing how to add to this email?

These bruises seem like ecchymoses due to subcutaneous collection blood from ruptured vessels.
Ususally, such spontaneous bleeding is not common and as there is no history of trauma I would suggest a proper check up and management with your oncologist and dermatologist.
Since you have history of carcinoma and chemo and radiotherapy and also on drugs like tamoxifen any of which can cause such skin condition.
Especially you need to get your blood coagulation profile and platelets counts checked along with routine body check up.
Sometimes due to old age spontaneous bleeding occurs leaving purpura and ecchymoses called Senile purpura but this condition of yours doesnot seem to e senile purpura.
For this bruises you can apply Thrombophob ointment thrice a day along with oral vitamin C.
