Brief Answer:
You need serum PSA and DRE.

Detailed Answer:
Good Day and thank you for being with Healthcare Magic!

Yes advanced prostate cancer may present with blood or discoloration in the ejaculate. to diagnose prostate cancer the first step is to get a serum PSA and an ultrasound. A digital rectal exam (DRE) is also valuable if done by a trained individual like a Urologist.

Another consideration would be a urinary tract infection (UTI) which may also present as discoloration in the ejaculate. This can be diagnosed with a urinalysis.

if your serum PSA is normal and DRE is also normal then we can safely say that the discoloration in your semen could be due to inflammation and is self limiting. Majority of blood in the semen is due to inflammation and will go away on its own without any medicine or intervention. Just refrain from ejaculating for one to two weeks until semen becomes normal.
