Brief Answer:
possibility of fixed drug eruption

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist).

It could be a drug eruption e.g a Fixed Drug Eruption, which commonly happens to antibiotics, painkillers, drugs for diarrhea etc.
Did you take any new medication prior to its onset?

Thanks for your reply.

I did not use any pain killers or antibiotics nor did I try any new product. Images have been attached. Though the black blotches are not very clear in the pics, in reality they are very clear.

On a regular basis I use Eltroxin 100 mcg and homeo medicines for PCOS.

Brief Answer:
Oral Lichen planus; Topical mometasone furoate cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi. Thank you. I have reviewed the Images

I rule out my earlier diagnosis of FDE.
I would keep a possibility of Oral lichen planus. You may use a topical steroid cream e.g mometasone furoate 0.1% cream (Elocon cream), twice daily for a period of 2-3 weeks.

Brief Answer:
Try a kojic acid based cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

You may use golite cream, twice daily. It contains kojic acid and is a steroid free cream. However a steroid based cream would work much faster. You may use a steroid based cream for 2 weeks and then switch to golite cream.
