Question: I am having burning sensation while urinating, fever 102F.I have undergone the following investigations
CBP, CUE, Ultrasound scan. Ultrasound revealed well distended bladder with multiple internal echoes in urinary bladder with cystitis as impression. CUE revealed pus cells 8-10/hpf; rbc 2-3/hpf epithelial cells 4-6/hpf. CBP revealed elevated WBC count:15500 cumm; smear: absolute neutrophil leucocytosis.
lymphocytes differential count to down to 11%. Is it serious illness, should I go for further diagnosis?
do my wife also need to screened? please suggest me.
actually I visited a consultant he prescribed levofloxacin 500mg for 100 days
paracetomol and citralka syrup. I am on 4th day of dose, my burning sensation has reduced now. my sweat also smelling different. ultrasound revealed normal kidney size, no calculi. all others liver, spleen, gall bladder are normal.

Should I go for CT and other blood tests to rule out further complications.
Please shall I advise my wife to undergo screening.

Brief Answer:
Cystitis is infection of Urinary Bladder and is a part of broad term UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts and reports of blood and urine that you have posted it appears that you have Cystitis (UTI)

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Have you done Urine culture.?and do organisms sensitive to Livofloxacin?

Please get your urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this
infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary
antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

You will get cured with appropriate antibiotics for 10 days and do not need any more investigations like C.T Scan etc

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
