What Causes Crusty Skin On Face While On Retin A?

Question: I need help regarding how to stop Retin A from working...I cannot keep my face from crusting up over and over and over.....is there some way to just stop or neutralize the RETIN A? I put the 1% cream on my face and obviously used too much....Im in tears and in a panic

Thanks for the query

Please dont worry about the crusting. It is a known side effect of Retin A. Here is what you should do

1. Stop applying the cream until its better
2. Apply calamine lotion over the face before going to bed
3. If your lips are crusting, I recommend vaseline over it

Crusting will come down within a week.
